I’m Roman Meza — a New York-based designer at Hudson Rouge, serial decompressor at Self, and photographer at World.

Interweave

As a designer, I often think of the work I do as threading together — tightening the seemingly disparate into the potentially coherent. I navigate ambiguous product terrain comfortably because I can tread in the direction of its potential outcomes.

Inspiration

Some inspiration comes from my background as an artist. Much inspiration comes from the Master of Human-Computer Interaction + Design, where I graduated in 2024. I learned to hone my creativity through research, strategy, and visual design to bring ideas to life.

Interludes

In my free time, I photograph, read (currently: The Parable of the Talents), scour the city for bakeries to try new pastries — and then work out to compensate for my over-indulgence, and find catharsis through sunlight and raves.

Morning light rays sift from large pane windows through the heavy smoke of a rave, with two figures sitting on plywood blocks, backlit.
